Composers in the past didn’t live in a bubble! With so many musicians working in Austria in the late 18th century, it’s no surprise that so many of them were friends, or even related to one another. They spent plenty of time together on and off of the job, and three of the composers on this program were even known to have played in a string quartet together for a time.
